The District of Columbia is soliciting proposals for a contractor to provide an automated field reporting system and records management system for its Metropolitan Police Department. The new systems will be fully integrated with information technology systems the department is using. The new reporting system will be known as the Police Reporting and Information Delivery System. Responses are due by July 9.The Naval Air Warfare Center's Aircraft Division at Patuxent River, Md., seeks engineering and technical support services that contribute to the research, design, development, test and evaluation, production, deployment and maintenance of Air Vehicle Fire and Explosion Protection and Extinguishing Systems and related crew safety systems. This support is to enhance military and commercial aircraft safety and survivability for pilots, crews and passengers.

Assignments will include systems engineering, integration and compatibility; analytical studies; data generation and analysis; strategic program planning support; modeling and simulation; and establishment and maintenance of a Web-based knowledge management database.
