Navy Picks 21 Companies for $14.5B Contract

The Naval Sea Systems Command has chosen 21 vendors for its multiple award task-order contract to provide professional support services. The contract has a $14.5 billion ceiling over fifteen years, assuming two five-year options are exercised.

Under the contract, the winning companies will compete for task orders to provide professional services at Navsea and its directorates, program executive offices and field offices.

Services include program management, engineering, logistics and financial management. The multiple-award contract is part of Navsea's strategy to move to performance-based contracting for support services.

The work will be performed at 10 locations in Northern Virginia, three in Maryland and one in Washington. The amount of work at each site will be determined as task orders are awarded.
The contracts contain a guaranteed minimum order of $25,000, with a maximum of $5 billion per task.
