CACI Dons Army Green for Software Support

SEPT. 18 - CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va., announced it won a $27.2 million contract to provide analytical and software development support for the Army Training Models project.



The one-year contract has four option years. It was awarded by the Defense Supply Services in Washington through the company's General Services Administration Information Technology Schedule.



"CACI is pleased to continue our support of the Army's Training Models and reaffirm our commitment to our Army clients," said John "Jack" London, the company's chairman and chief executive officer.



The contract supports the Army's Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning in its mission to estimate the cost of training and operations for the Army, including the active duty personnel, the Army Reserves and the Army National Guard.



The Army's Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations and Planning maintains four integrated software applications called the Army Training Models. The applications, developed by CACI, are used to calculate the Army's training resource requirements and costs.



With the new contract, CACI will maintain its development of all ATM applications, including the use of Web-based technology to improve productivity and user access.
