JULY 24 ? Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., has promoted Stephen Kalish to president of its Civil Group in its Federal Sector. Kalish replaces Michael Laphen, who is now president of CSC's European Group.

Kalish will report to Milt Cooper, Federal Sector president, and will be responsible for all CSC business-related activities in support of federal civil agencies.
