Tyler Says Aloha to Hawaiian County Business

JULY 17 ? Tyler Technologies Inc., Dallas, won a $1.6 million contract with the county of Kauai, Hawaii, July 17, to provide software and services to administer property tax functions. With the two-year deal, Tyler now has four county contracts in Hawaii worth a total of $8.3 million.
Tyler will help Kauai County maintain property descriptions, establish values, administer exemptions, calculate taxes, produce tax bills, collect property taxes and make tax information available to the public on the Internet.
Kauai County property owners will be able to find their property on the tax map and review the description and valuation information and retrieve payment information via the Internet. Kauai also purchased Tyler's Landisc product to store and retrieve digital images of each property, which also will be accessible to the public via the Internet.
"The Kauai contract further solidifies our strong relationship with all of the counties in the state of Hawaii," said John Baker, senior vice president for technical sales of Tyler's Cole Layer Trumble division. He said Tyler anticipates increased interest from state agencies looking for a flexible, multijurisdictional product to fulfill its requirements in e-government solutions.
Tyler is a provider of end-to-end e-government information management solutions to local governments.
