Twelve More Tap Into Millennia Lite

JULY 6 ? The General Services Administration has tapped 12 companies as winners of the fourth and final lot of its $20 billion Millennia Lite information technology services contract.


Announced July 5, the companies winning a spot on the contract in the area of legacy systems migration and new enterprise systems development are:


Allied Technology Group Inc. of Rockville, Md.

Anteon Corp. of Fairfax, Va.

BTG Inc. of Fairfax

CACI International Inc. of Arlington, Va.

Computer and Hi-Tech Management Inc. of McLean, Va.

Federal Data Corp. of Bethesda, Md.

Keane Inc. of Boston

Madison Research Corp. of Huntsville, Ala.

Signal Corp. of Fairfax

SRA International Inc. of Fairfax

Sterling Software Inc. of McLean

TRW Inc. of Cleveland


Under the fourth area, the companies will compete for work that includes Web-enabling legacy applications, development and customization of commercial software, knowledge management, data warehousing and electronic commerce.


"The Millennia Lite contracts will provide GSA's customers with greater choices of solutions and institute partnerships with many more industry partners," said Sandra Bates, commissioner of GSA's Federal Technology Service, which oversees the contract.


Each contract has a base of three years plus options that can extend it to 10 years. Any government agency may use the contract.


Contracts were awarded earlier under three other areas: information technology planning, studies and assessment; high-end information technology services; and mission support services.


"As technology races ahead, the federal community must be ready to meet future challenges," said Bob Suda, assistant commissioner for IT integration at GSA. "This series of awards will meet those needs."
