JUNE 5 ? ITT Industries Inc. won a $65 million Navy contract June 2 to support the Atlantic Fleet Weapons Training Facility at Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico.

ITT of White Plains, N.Y., will operate and maintain fixed and mobile instrumentation equipment and facilities on islands, surface vessels and aircraft in the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.

The Atlantic Fleet Weapons Training Facility operates four ranges for the Navy: the Outer Range, the Inner Range, the Underwater Tracking Range and the Electronic Warfare Range. The ranges are equipped with target instrumentation, sensors, communications and other facilities, which ITT will support.

"This win continues ITT Industries leadership in the naval range market," said Jim Cameron, president of ITT's Systems Division. "With our recent win of a 10-year contract for the Pacific Missile Range, we are supporting the Navy's Pacific and Atlantic test, training and evaluation missions."

Work in the Atlantic will be performed at the U.S. Naval Station at Roosevelt Roads, Pico del Este in the Caribbean National Forest at Naguabo, Puerto Rico, and St. Croix and St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
