iGate Swings Open for Planning Technologies

APRIL 18 ? Network consulting and engineering firm Planning Technologies Inc. of Atlanta has been acquired by iGate Capital Corp. of Oakdale, Pa. Planning Technologies will become part of iGate's Enterprise Network Systems unit.

APRIL 18 ? Network consulting and engineering firm Planning Technologies Inc. of Atlanta has been acquired by iGate Capital Corp. of Oakdale, Pa. Planning Technologies will become part of iGate's Enterprise Network Systems unit.


Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Planning Technologies has more than 100 employees and customers, such as the departments of Agriculture, Defense and Veterans Affairs and the state of Georgia.


Planning Technologies provides the consulting and other services that help organizations convert their enterprise networks into the infrastructure to be an electronic business.


"The combined strengths of PTI and ENS, backed by iGate's global resources and management expertise, will enable PTI to continue to recruit and retain the best networking professionals in the industry, build unprecedented expertise in the field and realize our mission to become a global networking powerhouse," said Jake Sanchez, chairman and chief executive of Planning Technologies.


iGate Capital is a holding company that has built a group of companies with more than $350 million in annual revenue. The companies provide a variety of online services, including enterprise Web integration, network consulting, customer care and Internet trading solutions, Web-based business process outsourcing, Web-focused offshore services and e-vendor management.
