CSC Wins Training Contract
With Internal Revenue Service

Computer Sciences Corp., El Segundo, Calif., has been awarded a contract to provide training and performance development products and services to the Internal Revenue Services' Corporate Education Division.

The multi-award, indefinite-delivery-indefinite-quantity contract is valued at more than $41 million if all options are exercised during a five-year period of performance.

Department Project

DynCorp, an information technology and services firm based in Reston, Va., has won a $22.7 million, four-year contract to support the U.S. Department of State in implementing a new entry system for Mexican citizens traveling to the United States.

CTA To Develop California Year 2000 System

CTA Inc., a Rockville, Md.-based information systems and services company, has been awarded a contract to develop a statewide Year 2000 Embedded Systems Program for the California Department of Information Technology.

CTA will assist the IT department in developing the plan and procedures that California agencies will use to identify and fix embedded microprocessor systems that could fail due to an inability to comprehend the century date change. The three-month pilot project is valued at $265,000.

Senate Outsources Services To Computer Data Systems

Rockville, Md.-based Computer Data Systems Inc. will provide information technology outsourcing services to the U.S. Senate under a five-year contract worth about $50 million.

Computer Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Affiliated Computer Services Inc. of Dallas, won the desktop technology outsourcing contract after an open and competitive bid process.

Under the contract, CDSI, serving as prime contactor, will provide end-to-end support for more than 10,000 desktops.

Dimensions Cleared for Takeoff on FAA Contract

Dimensions International Inc., Alexandria, Va., has won a $5.4 million firm fixed-price contract award to provide a key component of the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Movement Area Safety System.

Dimensions will provide the system that interfaces with the FAA's radar installations and air traffic control computers at airport terminal approach control facilities to assist in reducing the number of collisions and near-miss encounters on airport runways and flight paths.

MCI Will Provide Telecom Services to Congress

MCI Communications Corp., Washington, has been selected to provide wide area data communications services to the U.S. House of Representatives.

The three-year contract, with two one-year options, is valued at $11 million. Under the terms of the contract, MCI will provide frame relay, private lines and Internet solutions.

Century Services Awarded Year 2000 Subcontract

Century Services Inc. has been awarded a contract with NCI Information Systems Inc. of McLean, Va., to achieve year 2000 compliance for two computer systems for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Under this contract, Century Services will provide year 2000 assessment, remediation and testing of HUD's National Credit Bureau Referral System and the Security Ledger System, which are written in Unisys Cobol.

Century Services is a wholly owned subsidiary of ZMAX Corp., Germantown, Md.
