CACI Wins Two Deals Worth $91 Million

CACI International Inc., Arlington, Va., won a $43 million contract with the Department of Justice to provide systems technology and support services for its Automated Debt Collection Management Program. The company also won a five-year, $48 million contract with the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Chesapeake, Va.

The contract with Justice's Office of Debt Collection Management in Washington is for 28 months with five one-year options. The program will support litigation Justice brings on behalf of other agencies to collect debts owed to the government.

On the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center contract, CACI will provide software implementation, training and troubleshooting for the Naval Tactical Command Support System program. The program helps manage the information, personnel, material and funds required to maintain and operate surface ships, submarines and aircraft.

Semcor Provides Services To Navy Air Warfare Center

Under a five-year, $64 million contract, Semcor Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J., will provide systems engineering services related to aircraft and avionics design to the aircraft division of the Naval Air Warfare Center, Patuxent River, Md.

Semcor will recommend advanced technology concepts and applications for aircraft systems, subsystems and software. Services will be done primarily at the company's Lexington Park, Md., facility.

Air Force Contract Worth $30 Million to SAIC

Science Applications International Corp., Satellite Beach, Fla., joins the Air Force Space Command's team to provide launch operations and support services to the 45th Space Wing's Cape Canaveral Air Station and its customers.

The team effort, led by Sverdrup Technology Inc., will provide systems engineering and management support to Atlas, Delta and Titan launch vehicles and their payloads. The contract has a four-month performance period with six one-year options, extending the total contract life until September 2004.

The value to SAIC is estimated at $30 million. SAIC plans to hire 60 people to work on this contract.

SMAC Awarded Second BPA for Computers

The National Institutes of Health awarded SMAC Data Systems, Gaithersburg, Md., a blanket purchase agreement for desktop, server and notebook systems.

The value of the contract, which is effective for one year and available only to NIH agency members, was not disclosed.

Navy Awards Raytheon $256 Million Contract

Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., awarded Raytheon Systems Co., Lexington, Mass., a $256 million contract for engineering and manufacturing development of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile.

The award includes pricing for nearly 1,400 Tactical Tomahawk missiles over five years - a value of nearly $800 million - as well as options for an additional $40 million of flight test support.

Cache Box Nets $5.9 Million Contract

Amtrak, Washington, D.C., awarded a $5.9 million contract to Cache Box Inc., Arlington, Va., to modernize the railroad's food service inventory operations.

The contract calls for a fully integrated food and beverage management information system that will provide more comprehensive knowledge of food products sales on Amtrak trains, automatic inventory levels, more accurate inventory control and additional payment options for Amtrak customers.

Cache Box will design the on-board system with a portable touch screen computer, which will interface with Amtrak's food inventory and accounting systems.

The system is to be operational by this fall.
