| Keane, GSE Systems Sign Sales Agreement: Erudite, which had about $18 million in revenue for 1997, is located in Salt Lake City. A definitive purchase agreement is expected to be hammered out by May. The purchase would bring the number of consultants at Keane to 175 in the Salt Lake City area. Erudite brings to the table its information technology consulting and custom application development, which complements Keane's application management, development and integration solutions.
Unisys Adds Computer Associates Products to Server Line: The giveaway expands the strategic alliance forged between Unisys and Islandia, N.Y.-based Computer Associates in July 1997 to deploy Unicenter TNG framework on Unisys enterprise NT servers. Unisys is a Unicenter TNG premier business partner. The agreement with CA is part of Unisys' goal of bringing enterprise-class computing attributes to the Windows NT environment, said Bill Maclean, vice president, Unisys ManagePlus software initiative.
Microsoft Launches New Partner Program: Microsoft-certified solutions providers will receive discounts and special offers on Microsoft products. Microsoft is calling the program the MCSP Alliance. It is divided into three categories: software and tools, business services, and computing and networking equipment. The alliance is designed to help certified solution providers with business development and rapid deployment of new technologies and solutions. Services include discounts on a variety of business solutions, such as network and Internet access and research and personnel recruitment.
