The Department of Administrative Services in Hartford, Conn., contracted with Maximus of McLean, Va., for the detailed systems design of an integrated information system. The contract, initiated on behalf of the Bureau of Collection Services, is valued at $1.3 million.

The city of Titusville's Purchasing and Contracting Office in Florida has awarded a contract to Computrack of Titusville for hardware, including the host CPU, for the city's computer system. Awarded in November 1997, the contract is valued at $59,000.

The Florida Department of Education Bureau of Teacher Certification in Tallahassee has awarded a contract for consulting services to Information Systems of Florida Inc., Jacksonville, Fla. The contract, awarded in October, is valued at $1.6 million.

The Iowa Department of General Services, Division of Purchasing, in Des Moines has contracted with four Iowa companies to provide cellular telephone equipment and services for state and local agencies. They are: Airtouch Cellular, Urbandale; 360 Communications Co., Cedar Rapids; Commnet Cellular, Sioux City; and United States Cellular, Des Moines.

The Kansas Department of Transportation, Wichita, Kan., has awarded a contract to HNTB, Woodbridge, Va., to provide consulting services for an intelligent transportation system. The contract, awarded in December, is valued at $400,000.

The Massachusetts Department of Corrections in Boston has awarded a contract to Webb & Associates, Canton, Mass., to provide consultant and technical services for the development of an inmate calling system. The contract was awarded in October.

Minnesota's Department of Trade and Economic Development has tapped Destination Marketing Group, Wayzata, Minn., to perform analysis and design work in connection with a database architecture for the Office of Tourism in St. Paul, Minn. The contract, awarded in November, is valued at $125,000.

The Missouri Department of Administration in Jefferson City has tapped IBM, Kansas City, Mo., and Sprint, St. Louis, to provide statewide network consulting services. The contract, awarded in March, is valued at $24 million.
