TO A CORNER OFFICE

Network Solutions, Herndon, Va., has appointed Bruce L. Chovnick senior vice president and general manager of its Intranets Division.

Automated Data Sciences/ CADscan, Santa Monica, Calif., has appointed Tom Dale executive vice president for information technologies.

CACI International Inc., Arlington, Va., has named Robert N. Burton Jr. vice president of its Readiness Oriented Logistics Engineering Division.

LittleNet LLC, Lowell, Mass., has appointed Jim Daniell chief executive officer and a member of its board.

Government Technology Services Inc. in Chantilly, Va., has appointed Dennis G. Defensor as vice president of marketing communications while promoting Bill Johnson to senior vice president of operations and Tim Collins to vice president of vendor relations.

Pamela Sullivan was promoted to operating unit executive within the Federal Systems unit of BDM International, McLean, Va., where she has been senior vice president.

Two senior vice presidents have been appointed by BTG Inc., responsible for the Fairfax, Va., company's products business area. Carolyn Redmon will serve as general manager of BTG's Technology Systems Operations while Steven Baldwin will serve as general manager of the Technology Systems Solutions organization.

XRT Inc., a provider of treasury software systems based in Wayne, Pa., has named Steven Grosswald vice president of sales.

Shelly Talbott has joined Ingram Micro Inc., based in Santa Ana, Calif., as vice president and general manager of the government division.

Northern Telecom Limited, Toronto, appointed Jim Long executive vice president and president of Enterprise Networks. Clarence Chandran will assume responsibility for Asia, in addition to his role as executive vice president and president of Public Carrier Networks. David Ball, senior vice president and president of Public Carrier Networks, Europe, will begin a transition toward retirement in 1998. Gary Donahee will be appointed senior vice president and president of Public Carrier Networks, Europe.

Fairfax, Va.-based Infodata Systems Inc. named James Ungerleider, former American Management Systems vice president, as president and CEO.

Net.Capitol Inc., Washington, announced that Dr. Arthur B. Laffer has joined its board of directors. Laffer, a former member of President Ronald Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board, is the founder and chairman of Laffer Associates, an economic research and financial consulting firm based in San Diego. He is also co-founder and chairman of Calport Asset Management, an institutional money management firm located in Westport, Conn.

CLAM Associates, Cambridge, Mass., has appointed Joseph Nedder as vice president of business reliability services. He will be responsible for worldwide delivery of all CLAM service offerings and initiatives.

Two promotions and one appointment to the board of directors have been announced at Statistica: Martin Zimmerman brings more than 40 years of leadership in the information technology arena to the board of directors. Robert R. Bruce has been promoted to vice president of business development-civilian, while Clifford Mangum has been promoted to vice president of business development-military.

Intelligent Decisions, Chantilly, Va., has appointed Paul F. Saldo sales director for civilian agencies.
