The Alaska Department of Corrections, Division of Administrative Services, in Anchorage has contracted with MTG Management Consultants, Seattle, for consulting services involving functional requirements for an Inmate Tracking System. The contract, awarded Aug. 8, is valued at $318,930.

The Arkansas Computer Services Department in Little Rock, in conjunction with the Arkansas Employment Security Department and the Arkansas Crime Information Center, contracted with Comsys, Tallahassee, Fla., to provide programming services to implement changes related to the year 2000 problem on the department's mainframes. The contract, awarded May 16, is valued at $6,982,560.

Colorado State University in Fort Collins contracted with Oracle Corp., Redwood Shores, Calif., for a new Human Resource Management Information System. The contract was awarded July 28 for approximately $500,000.

The Hillsborough, Fla., County Clerk of the Court, Purchasing and Contracting Office in Tampa contracted with SCT Government Systems, Lexington, Ky., to furnish and install a Criminal Justice Information System. The contract, awarded June 30, is valued at $8,893,245.

The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority in Winter Park, Fla., contracted with Hypower, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., for a Fiber Optic Backbone Telecommunications Network. The contract, awarded June 25, is valued at $12,218,303.

Florida's Orange County Sheriff's Office, Computer Services Division in Orlando, contracted with Emenet Lighting Inc., St. Cloud, Fla., to provide laptop software as part of a countywide mobile data terminal project. The contract, awarded Aug. 8, is valued at $18,300.

The Georgia Board of Regents in Atlanta contracted with PeopleSoft Inc., Bethesda, Md., to provide software modules for the Human Resources/Payroll and Budget/Financial administrative functions. The contract, awarded June 30, is valued at $8,804,883 for HR/Payroll and $8,591,819 for the Budget/Financial components.

The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission in Baltimore contracted with Gulf Computers, Baltimore, for an Intelligent Character Recognition system. The contract, awarded in June 1997, is valued at $87,000.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice in Madison contracted with North American Morpho Systems, Tacoma, Wash., for a store/forward image processing system. The contract, awarded Aug. 6, is valued at $157,221.
