The Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority in Florida contracted with the BRW Group, Orlando, Fla., to prepare a systemwide intelligent transportation systems master plan and concept study. The award, made June 16, is valued at $349,588. This consulting project is expected to last one year and will be followed by an implementation project.

The Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners in West Palm Beach, Fla., contracted with Knowledge Source Inc., Plantation, Fla., to complete tasks related to the re-engineering and replacement of the County's Planning, Zoning and Building Department's existing mainframe applications, including software and systems integration. The award was made June 16 and is valued at $69,800 with an expected duration of 13 weeks.

The New Hampshire Department of Employment Security, Contributions Section in Concord contracted with Unisys of Virginia Beach, Va., to supply project management and software development services to install a new Contributions Tax Accounting System. The award was made June 2 for $2.39 million.

The New Mexico General Services Department's Office of Communications, Radio Communications Bureau, in Santa Fe contracted with MCI Telecommunications Corp., Albuquerque, N.M., to supply wireless telecommunications services and equipment for the entire state (including local agencies). The contract covers cellular services and equipment, plus a variety of new equipment and services. The project, awarded June 30, expires in one year but contains three one-year renewals.

The Department of Social Services in Albany, N.Y., contracted with Lockheed Martin IMS in Washington for operation and management of the child support collection and disbursement system. The award was made June 24 for approximately $50 million over five years.

The Department of Human Services for the State of Maine contracted with Burger, Carroll & Associates, Santa Fe, N.M., for the design of a hybrid Electronic Benefits Transfer System for the Women, Infants and Children Program and the Food Stamps Program for the states of Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. The award was made June 3 for $169,000 and is expected to last 10 months.
