|  | CDSI Plays Winning Lottery Ticket:
Computer Data Systems Inc., Rockville, Md., completed testing of an automated lottery ticket system for the province of Cordoba in Argentina. Over the next year, the company's Argentina subsidiary will install equipment in about 3,800 locations within the province. Revenue to CDSI will depend on sales generated by the system. The company said it expects to receive between $5 million and $7 million a year after the system is completed. CDSI has a five-year contract to develop, install and maintain the system. DoD Recognizes Unisys Service:
Unisys Federal Systems Division, McLean, Va., was recognized by the Department of Defense Courier Service for a decade of work for the courier service, which controls a global network of 22 stations responsible for moving highly classified and sensitive national security material. In 1986, Unisys installed a UNIX system for the service and has since upgraded it and added new features such as Lotus-CC mail, digitized identification cards and bar code technology. Keane Splits Stock After Strong Start:
Keane Inc. announced a 2-for-1 stock split of common and Class B common shares. The company will pay a stock dividend of one share for each share stockholders own. John F. Keane, company president and CEO, said the Boston company's strong performance through the first six months of 1997 led to the decision to split the stock. Keane's revenue for the second quarter, ended June 30, was $152 million, up 34 percent from 1996, and net income was $11.1 million, up 72 percent. For the first six months of the year, Keane's revenues were $293 million, up 34 percent, and net income increased 77 percent to $21 million. Nichols Partners With Information Dimensions:
The Department of Defense's Ballistic Missile Defense Organization will be the first customer for a paperless office offering from Nichols Research Corp., Huntsville, Ala., and Information Dimensions Inc., Dublin, Ohio. Nichols is adding Information Dimension's Basis product to Nichols' integrated business environment offering. The combined systems will operate a document repository from networked workstations or from a Web browser for intranet and extranet usage.
