Department of Defense Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., McLean, Va., was awarded a contract worth up to $25 million from the Air Force Human Systems Center at Brook Air Force Base in San Antonio to develop and support intelligent tutoring systems. Alexandria, Va.-based Robbins-Gioia Inc. was awarded the Program Management Support System contract by the Air Force Materiel Command's Materiel Systems Group, Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. The $220 million contract Logicon Inc. in Los Angeles, was awarded a four-year, $22 million Joint Forces Air Component Commander Technology Integration contract by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. The contract covers transition, integration, evaluation and demonstration of technologies developed for DARPA's JFACC program. DRS Technologies Inc. was awarded through DRS Electronic Systems Inc., its subsidiary in Gaithersburg, Md., a $2.4 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide additional combat display emulators for land-based applications. TASC Inc., a subsidiary of Primark Corp. in Waltham, Mass., was awarded a five-year, task order contract by the U.S. Air Force worth up to $35 million. The contract requires TASC to continue its primary research into the effects of lasers on Air Force systems and air crew performance. Texas Instruments Defense Systems & Electronics of Dallas received a $98.3 million, multiyear contract for second-generation infrared imaging, upgrade kits. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army's Communications-Electronics Command in Ft. Monmouth, N.J. McLean, Va.-based Unisys Corp.'s federal systems division won two subcontracts to serve all defense agency command and control organizations with engineering and technical support services. The two different subcontract awards come from the Defense Information Systems Agency and the U.S. Air Force and are worth $25 million. The U.S. Air Force's Space & Missile Systems Center in Los Angeles awarded a $64.6 million contract to Hughes Space & Communications Corp. of El Segundo, Calif. Under the contract, Hughes will pre-engineer and manufacture development of the Defense Department's Advanced EHF Communication Satellite over the next three years. Arlington, Texas-based Hughes Training Inc., a unit of Hughes Aircraft Co., was awarded a $17.3 million fixed-price contract for the first-year production phase of the U.S. Army's Fire Support Combined Arms Tactical Trainer program. Radian Inc. of Alexandria, Va., was awarded a $68.9 million contract for Integrated Security and Identification Systems by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane division. CDSI Information Technology Solutions Co., a division of Computer Data Systems Inc. in Rockville, Md., was awarded a $54 million contract from the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center. The company will provide information technology support services to the Naval Reserve Information Systems Office in New Orleans. Computer Sciences Corp. in Falls Church, Va., has been selected as a member of a contract team led by Veda Inc. in Alexandria, Va. CSC will be working on a $20 million contract to provide engineering and technical support to the Naval Air Warfare Center at Patuxent River, Md.
