However, I have a minor complaint with respect to the article, "Test Your PC for Year 2000 Glitches," (WT, June 12). It is not totally clear until about the fourth paragraph that the software package about which you are writing is for an IBM compatible computer only, not applicable to my Macintosh Quadra. One might say that "PC" implies IBM-compatible computer, but I think that is overly narrow. There are a great many Macintosh-compatible computers out there and it appears to me that it is equally appropriate to refer to them by the term PC. I suspect that IBM-compatible computers are in such widespread use that their users are prone to forget that there are other PCs in the world.
