BR Computers and the Two-Class Society "The United States is a two-class society," claims University of Arizona Professor Stuart Hoenig in his April 24 letter. The thought of his statement is laughable. If this were true or ever will be true, the United States would cease to exist as we know it today. What happened to the middle class? You know, the people who pay the majority of the taxes.

"The United States is a two-class society," claims University of Arizona Professor Stuart Hoenig in his April 24 letter.

The thought of his statement is laughable. If this were true or ever will be true, the United States would cease to exist as we know it today.

What happened to the middle class? You know, the people who pay the majority of the taxes. ... Maybe you should go out and mingle with the masses.

A computer is a tool, period. If I gave an overpaid state employee a free shovel, would he use it or just hire a lower-class ditch digger to use it?
