The Nevada Department of Information Services in Carson City, on behalf of the Department of Human Resources, Medicaid Unit, chose BDM, Las Vegas, to provide a business process re-engineering study. The contract, awarded April 15, is valued at $760,000.

Kentucky's Finance Cabinet in Frankfort chose American Management Systems, Fairfax, Va., to develop a statewide Management, Administrative and Reporting System, which will replace the Kentucky Automated Purchasing System, the Statewide Accounting and Reporting System and possibly the Unified Personnel and Payroll System. The contract, awarded in March, is valued at $26.5 million.

The Iowa Telecommunications and Technology Commission in Des Moines hired KPMG Peat Marwick, Des Moines, to create a business plan that will form the basis for all intergovernmental electronic commerce initiatives within the state's executive branch. The contract, awarded in March, is valued at $116,000.

The Arizona Department of Economic Security in Phoenix hired IBM, Sacramento, Calif., to migrate its imaging system from the IBM Image Records Management system to an IBM VisualInfo system. The contract, awarded in March, is valued at $718,000.

The Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board in Harrisburg hired Diversified Data Services, Scranton, Pa., for a dairy accounting system that will track production and disposition of milk within the commonwealth. The contract, awarded in February, is valued at $370,000.

The Illinois Department of Corrections in Springfield has chosen Motorola, Bloomington, Ill., to provide an 800 megahertz radio system. The contract, awarded in February, is valued at $1.1 million.

The Sarasota County, Fla., Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court selected Hart Information Services Inc., Austin, Texas, to develop and install a records imaging system. The contract, awarded in January, is valued at $1.1 million.
