Diversified Data Systems, Mechanicsburg, Pa., will provide an automated computer reporting system for the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, Bureau of Administrative Services, in Harrisburg. The $2.5 million contract was awarded in February.

The Ohio Department of Administrative Services, Computer Services Division, in Columbus, has tapped TASC Inc., Reading, Mass., to implement two information management systems. The $3.29 million contract was awarded on behalf of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in January.

The California Department of Health Services, Office of Medi-Cal Procurement, has hired Delta Dental Plan of Sacramento, Calif., for its dental Medicaid Management Information System fiscal agent contract. The $233,600 contract was awarded in January.

The Comptroller of the Treasury for the state of Maryland in Annapolis tapped IBM, Baltimore, for the creation of a services contract to acquire direct access storage device upgrades. The $1.3 million contract was awarded in December.

The city of Boston's chief financial officer hired PeopleSoft, Waltham, Mass., to upgrade the city's core financial and human resource systems. The $4.2 million contract was awarded in December.

The New York State Insurance Fund in Albany hired Cross River International of New York and Tillinghast of Weatogue, Conn., to provide consulting services for re-engineering the fund's operations. The $3.25 million contract was awarded in January.

The Texas General Services Commission, Business Services Division, in Austin hired Phoenix Planning & Evaluation of Rockville, Md., to develop a feasibility study for an electronic bid solicitation system. The $278,650 contract was awarded in December.

The Maryland Department of Budget and Management, Division of Telecommunications Procurement, in Baltimore contracted with multiple vendors including Teldata Control Inc., Telecom Services Ltd. and UtiliTech to provide wide-area network equipment and related services. The $10 million contract was awarded in December.
