P> SYNNEX WILL DISTRIBUTE CTX MONITORS
SYNNEX Information Technologies Inc. will distribute color monitors manufactured by CTX International. Other SYNNEX monitor offerings include products from ATI, Diamond, MiTAC and Paradise. CTX, based in Fremont, Calif., was founded in 1986 and has grown 40 percent per year since then. Sales in 1995 reached $300 million, and the company's color monitors account for 6 percent of the U.S. market share.

INGRAM MICRO HELPS RESELLERS MANAGE INVENTORY
In an effort to help resellers in its Consumer Markets Division manage and advertise their wares, Ingram Micro has created Retail Edge.
The program will be phased in over the next 12 months and will include software to help manage shelf space, track sales trends and develop marketing plans. The Consumer Markets Division, which was started in 1995, specializes in sales to warehouse clubs, office superstores, mass merchants, software-only stores and consumer electronic stores.

CLARIS INKS MULTIPLE DEALS
Claris Corp. has reached a licensing agreement with Hewlett-Packard Co. to ship ClarisWorks 4 for Windows 95 with HP's Vectra 500 series personal computer. HP is targeting its new Pentium-based machine to offices with less than 100 people.
The company also signed an agreement with The Douglas Stewart Co. to distribute products to U.S. resellers that service the higher education market. The Douglas Stewart Co. is based in Madison, Wis.
In a separate agreement, Claris also expanded its distribution agreement with NACSCORP to include the Apple Internet Connection Kit and HyperCard for higher education markets. NACSCORP is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Association of College Stores and is devoted exclusively to the needs of college and university bookstores.
Claris also is allowing K-12 customers to purchase site licenses from authorized resellers.

MICROLOG GOES TO MALAYSIA
Microlog Corp. of Germantown, Md., has signed up Electra Communications of Malaysia as a value-added reseller. Electra will market and sell Microlog's interactive information systems that allow people to use a phone to enter or retrieve information from computer databases.

STORAGE DIMENSIONS DEBUTS PRODUCTS
Storage Dimensions has introduced SuperFlex 5000, a dual controller RAID storage system for Windows NT and NetWare servers. The unit is available with a single controller and an option to upgrade to a second one, if needed. The Windows version ships this month, while the NetWare configuration will be available in June. SuperFlex 5000 for Sun systems has been available since April.

CHEYENNE REJECTS MCAFFEE
Cheyenne Software of Roslyn Heights, N.Y., nixed plans to be acquired by McAffee, a network security and management company.
In mid-April, McAffee offered a proposal that was loudly rejected, so in early May, the company withdrew the offer.
However, it did leave the door open for Cheyenne, stating that if the company's management changed its mind, McAffee was interested in a friendly takeover. If the two merged, it would have created the world's fifth largest software company.

NOVELL, IBM ISSUE FIRST JOINT PRODUCT
NetWare for SAA: AS/400 Edition, a new software designed to connect local area networks to a host and is aimed at users of AS/400 and NetWare, is now available.
The new product is the first offering from the September 1995 alliance between Novell Inc. and IBM Corp. designed to provide Novell and IBM customers with solutions for connecting NetWare LANs and host systems using Systems Network Architecture.
