P DEFENSE Sysorex Information Systems has won a U.S. Army computer contract valued at $95.8 million. Fairfax, Va.-based Sysorex will provide Army users with personal computers, network servers, notebook computers and database management software. ARINC, based in Annapolis, Md., has been awarded a $28.8 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide engineering and technical support for aircraft-related systems undergoing test and evaluation.

GRC International Inc., located in Vienna, Va., has been awarded a five-year, $5.5 million contract for database management for the U.S. Army.

Sentel Corp. of Alexandria, Va., has been awarded a one-year, $3.1 million contract to provide logistics aircraft and maintenance services to the Navy.

ALLIANCES
Versar Inc. of Springfield, Va., has formed a strategic alliance with Kemron Environmental Services Inc. to provide their clients with a broad range of solutions in the area of environmental compliance and remediation.

IBM has joined the ground network development team led by Westinghouse Electric Corporation for the Ellipso global satellite communications system which will offer efficient, affordable satellite voice and data communications services to mobile and rural users.

Oracle Federal and Oracle Public Sector have consolidated into one division, Oracle Government which will be based in Bethesda, Md.
