ManTech defends its decade-long incumbency on a military space launch engineering and integration program through the win of a $475.5 million recompete.

ManTech has defended its incumbency on a broad systems engineering and integration program to support U.S. military space launch operations.

The Air Force awarded a new potential 10-year, $475.5 million contract to ManTech that covers launch service integration, fleet surveillance and certification support to the Space and Missile Systems Center.

An award notice posted Tuesday lists other task areas as including mission integration, security systems and launch systems support engineering.

Herndon, Virginia-headquartered ManTech won the first iteration of the Systems Engineering and Integration contract also known as SE&I in 2010. The recompete award notice from Friday does not indicate a number of bidders.

Locations of work are the Los Angeles Air Force and Vandenberg Space Force bases in California, along with the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
