The Air Force has kicked off the bidding for a $490 million contract that seeks a small business to help develop technologies that can fend off small unmanned aircraft.
The Air Force has kicked off the bidding for a $490 million contract to develop technologies and systems that can fend off adversaries’ small unmanned aircraft.
Proposals for the six-year contract are due to the Air Force Research Laboratory by May 14 and work will begin Aug. 30, AFRL said in a contracting notice Wednesday.
Only small businesses can bid as a prime for the Counter Small Unmanned Air Systems contract also known by the acronym CSUAS.
The winner will support the rapid development and prototyping of technologies that can deceive, disrupt, deny, degrade and destroy other unmanned aircraft.
