ST Engineering's US arm names new ruggedized division lead

ST Engineering North America appoints a new president and CEO of its Miltope division that makes ruggedized computers and other systems.

ST Engineering North America, a subsidiary of the Singapore-based technology company, has appointed nearly 25-year defense market veteran Dianne Howells as president and CEO of its Miltope division.

Howells officially started the role on Monday and succeeds Jack Haley, who the company said Monday announced earlier this year his plans to leave.

The Huntsville, Alabama-based Miltope business makes ruggedized computers and systems for customers in military, industrial and commercial aviation segments.

Most recently, Howells was vice president for the naval power systems business line at Leonardo DRS. Her career also includes roles at General Dynamics, E-Systems and Raytheon.
