MicroTech pushes back after lost Space Force contract

MicroTech is arguing it wasn't treated fairly in a competition to support the new Space Force.

MicroTech is pushing back after losing a competition to support Space Force.

SMS Data won the task order worth between $41 million and $52 million over five years. The contract covers operations, maintenance and support services for the cyberspace and management of Space Force functions at the Los Angeles Air Force Base.

MicroTech is arguing that the evaluation was done improperly. If had been done properly then MicroTech could have won.

The task order was competed through the NetCents 2 vehicle. MicroTech filed its protest with the Government Accountability Office on July 7 and a decision is due Oct. 15.
