Navy chooses 12 for $497.5M mission planning hardware contract

The Navy has awarded 12 companies positions on a potential five-year, $497.5 million contract to provide hardware and software for U.S. and foreign partners to use in mission planning functions.

Everyone who submitted a bid for the contract received an award and work will take place through April 2025, the Defense Department said in its Thursday awards digest.

Awardees are:

• American Electronic Warfare Associates
• BAE Systems
• DCS Corp.
• Gnostech
• Long Wave
• Monterey Technologies
• Northrop Grumman
• Perspecta
• Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services (a division absorbed into what is now Raytheon Technologies)
• Solute
• Tyonek Engineering and Agile Manufacturing
• Young's Engineering Services-Kihomac joint venture

They will vie for orders to support so-called Strike Planning and Execution Systems that include digital products for aviators such as flight information charts, a joint mission planning system that incorporates data for aircraft and weapon missions, and a web-based tool for expeditionary forces including Marine Corps amphibious squadrons.
