Cyber firm ShorePoint makes acquisition for growth in CDM
Cyber services outfit ShorePoint acquires a data management and transformation company to gain more of a footprint in the government's massive "CDM" cyber initiative.
Washington, D.C.-based cyber services company ShorePoint has acquired Cyberyllium, a provider of data management and transformation services.
Terms of the transaction were undisclosed, but ShorePoint said in a release Tuesday that it made the transaction with growth across public sector markets in mind.
ShorePoint especially is eyeing opportunities in the Homeland Security Department’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation program, also known as CDM, and other cyber modernization efforts by federal agencies.
Cyberyllium brings to ShorePoint new services in designing, deploying and operating the open source search and analytics engine known as Elasticsearch.
Elasticsearch will be a key part of the CDM effort as it transitions to a dashboard ecosystem based on the Elastic Stack product. The goal is to provide agencies large amounts of data on their networks into a consolidated format.
