Northrop looks within for new strategy lead exec
Northrop Grumman gives its lead government relations executive additional responsibility for its strategy and business development efforts.
Northrop Grumman has appointed almost 10-year company veteran and its current government relations head Lesley Kalan as chief strategy and development officer, effective Jan. 1, 2020.
She will have responsibility over the development and implementation of Northrop’s strategy, business development and commercial partnerships.
The company said in a release Friday that she will continue to lead its public policy, regulatory and government affairs functions. Kalan will report directly to Chairman and CEO Kathy Warden.
Kalan joined Northrop in 2010 as vice president of legislative affairs and has been corporate vice president of government relations since 2018.
Prior to Northrop, she was a vice president at global advisory firm The Cohen Group. Kalan also is a former staff member of the Senate Appropriations defense subcommittee.
