Find opportunities — and win them.

Mercury Systems has hired William Conley, a former electronic warfare director for the Defense Department.

Mercury Systems has appointed William Conley as senior vice president and chief technology officer.

He will direct Mercury’s technology vision and innovation efforts, the company said Wednesday.

Most recently, Conley was director for electronic warfare in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and managed a $7 billion budget to develop and acquire electronic warfare systems.

Earlier in his career, he was a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and also focused on electronic warfare there.

Conley will report to Didier Thibaud, Mercury’s chief operating officer.
