General Dynamics’ IT services segment has won an eight-year, $217 million task order for technical operations support services to the Air Force.
GDIT won out over four other offers for the contract to support the Air Force’s variant of the Distributed Common Ground System, the Defense Department said in its Wednesday contracts digest.
The Air Force uses the DCGS system to collect, process, analyze and disseminate intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance data. DCGS is intended to help run more than one intelligence system at the same time through functions such as multi-source processing, sensor tasking, exploitation, analysis and data distribution.
Work will take place at Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia and Beale Air Force Base in California through Jan. 31, 2027.
