DOD seeks analytics support for nuclear, chemical defense

A new sources sought notice details the Defense Department's search for analytical services to support the Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense program.

The Joint Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense program needs analytical services to support the mission of its program analysis and integration office. Services will support research, development, and acquisition planning.
According to a new sources sought notice, the contract will have a one-year base and four 12-month options. The notice doesn't include any information on the potential value of the contract.
The program analysis and integration office provides objective advice to senior leaders. Among the goals are eliminating duplication, better use of resources and better program support to warfighters.
Specific tasks might include:
- Strategic and programmatic planning
- Acquisition planning
- Weapons of mass destruction survivability
- Readiness, logistics management, and the industrial base
- Budgeting and execution
- Database sustainment
- Special studies
Responses to the sources sought are due Nov. 29.
The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground Natick is managing the procurement. The work will support all branches of the military.
