Raytheon adds retired Air Force Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski to the defense company’s board of directors.

Raytheon said Thursday it has added retired Air Force Gen. Ellen Pawlikowski to the defense company’s board of directors, effective immediately.

She retired from the military last year after a nearly three-decade career that concluded with service as commander of Air Force Materiel Command, which carries out acquisition and lifecycle management support for weapons and other platforms. The command also has responsibilities for science and technology programs.

Prior to that, Pawlikowski was military deputy to the Air Force’s assistant secretary for acquisition in the Pentagon.

Pawlikowski joins a Raytheon board that within this calendar year has also added former Norfolk Southern Corp. Chief Financial Officer Marta Stewart and retired Honeywell International executive Adriane Brown.

Former Deputy Defense Secretary Robert Work joined the board last year.
