Marines want research support for better force protection
The Marine Corps has issued a call for research support aimed at enhancing how it protects conventional forces.
The Marine Corps wants research on enhancing how it keeps its conventional forces protected.
The Corps released a request for information to get technical research and analysis on force sustainment, training and integration with other services, agencies, and Coalition forces. The research also will help in developing recommendations on improving the survivability of these conventional forces.
The specific tasks are:
- Strategic and long-range planning
- Exercise analysis
- Force readiness training and analysis
- Experimentation, simulation, wargaming and exercise analysis
- Training exercise and employment planning
- Curriculum development
The Marine Corps plans to use the RFI’s results to determine whether to issue a solicitation on an unrestricted basis, or to set it aside for small businesses.
The Corps released the RFI Sept. 4.
