Five companies have won positions on a five-year, $74.5 million contract to help the Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery carry out policy development and decision-making functions.
The Navy received 12 proposals for the contract that covers work in areas such as health, management and logistics, the Defense Department said in its Monday awards digest.
Awardees are Accenture Federal Services, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cape Cox Federal Integrators, Deloitte and Universal Consulting Services.
Navy Medicine awarded the contract amid the military's transition to the new Genesis electronic health record system. The shift to Genesis is part of a shift in expectations by patients and providers of an increase in digital technologies as part of the health care experience, according to a Deltek description of the work.
