HHS awards $139M IT engineering BPA

The Department of Health and Human Services has awarded at least four companies positions on a five-year, $139 million blanket purchase agreement for IT engineering services.

Awardees are CSRA, Leidos, ManTech and Salient CRGT subsidiary Information Innovators Inc. also known as “Triple-i.” First identified by online health IT forum G2Xchange Health, a ManTech spokesperson confirmed that group to Washington Technology and said they will compete for work through individual task orders.

HHS awarded the Next Generation IT Services Engineering Services BPA through the General Services Administration’s IT Schedule 70 vehicle. This latest BPA comes within a month of HHS’ award of the potential $207 million NGITS Operations Services agreement to six companies. CSRA and Leidos are included in that group of six also.

An award for NGITS’ program management integration track is due later this year, HHS said in a Jan. 25 release.

Solicitation documents show areas of work for the Engineering Services BPA as including endpoint engineering, infrastructure engineering, email engineering, unified communications and collaboration, enterprise mobile management, print server engineering and engineering test laboratory support.
