Booz Allen Hamilton has won a potential five-year, $165 million contract to support planning and policy efforts at U.S. Cyber Command.
The General Services Administration’s Federal System Integration and Management Center awarded the contract on Cybercom’s behalf, Booz Allen said Wednesday.
Work will also entail support services in training, command, administrative and staffing areas for Cybercom.
In its release, Booz Allen said the effort aims to help cyber defenders gain actionable intelligence along with knowledge of both tactics and techniques to protect organization and personal information of citizens.
FEDSIM functions as an assisted acquisition service provider within GSA that handles complex professional services acquisitions for other federal agencies on a fee-for-service basis.
Booz Allen is one of six participants on a potential five-year, $460 million contract FEDSIM awarded two years ago for support of defensive and offensive cyberspace operations at Cybercom.
The firm also won a separate five-year, $937 million task order from FEDSIM in 2015 for a “global threat mitigation program” to support the Army and other operational and strategic partners. Booz Allen was asked to assess and analyze the military’s ability to combat threats, as well as provide information operations support.
