Former CSC federal lead Zolet to join LMI as CEO

DXC executive and former CSC federal leader David Zolet will join LMI as CEO to succeed the retiring Nelson Ford.
Nonprofit management consulting organization LMI has appointed DXC Technology executive and former Computer Sciences Corp. federal leader David Zolet as president and CEO.
The 30-year contracting and technology sector veteran succeeds the retiring Nelson Ford, who led LMI for the previous eight years.
Zolet’s first day at LMI will be on Sept. 1 and Ford’s last day at the organization is Friday, an LMI spokesperson told Washington Technology. Chief Operating Officer Jeff Bennett will fill in as acting chief executive until Zolet officially joins LMI, the spokesperson said.
At DXC, Zolet more recently led the company’s Americas commercial region business and held the same role at its predecessor CSC over the two years prior to its April merger with the enterprise services segment of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
He led the CSC North American public sector segment as president for two years until his late 2014 transition over to the Americas commercial business. That leadership role was preceded by a two-year stint as business development president for public sector.
His career prior to DXC and CSC also includes leadership roles at IBM and Northrop Grumman.
