DXC continues protest fight for NGA contract
DXC Technologies continues to battle for a data center operations contract at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
The battle to support data center operations at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency continues to wind its way through the protest process.
DXC Technologies (the CSC-HPE Enterprise Services combination), Accenture and NJVC all filed pre-award protests in March. Since then, Accenture and NJVC have withdrawn their protests.
But DXC continues to move forward with its pre-award protest. It filed supplemental protest documents in early May and again last week. Supplemental filings are generally made in response to filings and reports made by the agency.
A decision from GAO is expected by July 10.
The contract is known as the Information Technology Enterprise Managed Services Data Center Services, or ITEMS DCS. The contract has four main requirements:
- Storage and computer services for classified and unclassified domains
- Local area networks at NGA data center locations
- Support for data and applications
- Migration services and platform as a service
While the protest is pending, NGA cannot make an award but it can continue to evaluate proposals.
NGA is competing this contract through a classified procurement system, so greater details such dollar value are not available.
