FedBid to extend Agriculture reverse auction services
FedBid has received a contract for continued reverse auction services to the Agriculture Department within the same week of a similar award from Labor.
FedBid has reported its second contract award for continued reverse auction services in the last week with the latest award from the Agriculture Department’s Forest Service.
USDA will use FedBid’s reverse auction platform across to acquire commodity goods and services and the service will be available to all department agencies. FedBid announced a similar contract award from the Labor Department last week. The company did not disclose the value of the contracts.
The Forest Service awarded its contract as a blanket purchase agreement with the goal for procurement staff to have a real-time view of current market pricing via the FedBid platform.
USDA has awarded $25 million in contracts through the FedBid platform and 90 percent of those went to small businesses.
