Vencore taps GD exec for senior leadership role

Vencore Inc. has hired Jeff Bohling to be a senior vice president and general manager of the company’s civilian and defense group.

He’ll be responsible for business operations and growth as well as expanding the company’s portfolio.

Bohling joins Vencore from General Dynamics IT where he held several leadership roles, most recently serving as the general manager of the company’s federal civilian business sector.

He is rejoining his old boss, Mac Curtis, Vencore CEO. Bohling worked for Curtis at Vangent, which was acquired by General Dynamics in 2011.

“Jeff’s extensive experience in the federal sector is of extreme to value to Vencore,” Curtis said, citing Bohling’s experiences with corporate development and leading large operations.

“Jeff will enable us to bring our cyber security, software development and mission systems engineering offerings to our defense and civilian customers,” Curtis said.

Bohling holds a master of business administration degree from Georgetown University and a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Iowa State University. He is also a graduate of the ACT-IAC Partners program and an ACT-IAC Fellow.
