Corps of Engineers issues RFP for GIS contract

The Army Corps of Engineers has released the solicitation for a $35 million small business contract for GIS work.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued a solicitation for a five-year, $35 million set-aside contract for geographical information system development and analysis in February.

The firm-fixed price contract is set aside for a competitive 8(a) companies. Responses are due March 2.

The Corps’ Mobile, Ala., district requires planning, supervision and labor for GIS support to the National Coastal Mapping Program, remote sensing, data management, data entry, dredge quality management and other programs for the Spatial Data Branch.

The Corps plans to award a signal task order contract to be performed on site at the Mobile District and elsewhere in the United States.

Task orders will be issued with individual scopes of work and funding.

The Corps issued the solicitation Feb. 10. The Corps did not give a specific award date.
