NASA delays release of draft RFP for $145M HITSS III contract
NASA has delayed the release of the draft solicitation for its $145 million IT headquarters IT contract known as HITSS III.
NASA’s small business IT contract for headquarters support has hit a couple snags that will delay the contract a few more months.
NASA released a tentative schedule in November that indicated a draft solicitation for the Headquarters IT Support Services III contract would be coming by the end of November. The November date came and went with no draft.
Today, NASA announced that no draft would be out before the end of 2016 and that a new schedule would be released by the end of January.
The contract is estimated to be worth about $145 million, according to Deltek, and has always been set aside as an 8(a) small business vehicle.
The current incumbent is Digital Management Inc., which won HITSS II in July 2012. The current contract is set to expire by the end of September 2017.
NASA uses the contract for IT services that aren’t covered by its desktop support contract.
The solicitation number for HITSS III is NNH16579608Q.
