DCS nabs $40M contract to support Naval Research Lab

DCS has won a $40 million contract to support the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

DCS has won a $40 million contract to support the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C.

The contract, called the Enhanced Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Sensor and System Capability Development contract, has a five-year period of performance.

Under the contract, the company will conduct research to provide a capability to reduce intelligence analyst workloads, enhance operator efficiency through reduced detection times, and enhance the capability to detect and track small high-value targets in cluttered environments.

The detection and tracking of targets of interest will be accomplished by combining soft biometrics data with human detection, segmentation algorithms and machine learning, the company said in a release.
