Engility excluded from Army software competition

Engility Corp. has been excluded from the competition for an Army software contract, and they don't like it one bit.
Engility Corp. is protesting its exclusion from the competition for an Army contract to help field software for command and control and other systems.
The contract, known as Worldwide Systems Field Software Support, is still in the source selection process. It is being competed as a task order under the Army’s Systems and Software Engineering Support Next Generation contract, which has nearly 20 prime contractors.
The Worldwide Systems Field Software Support task will be used by the Army’s Software Engineering Center Vision, which supports operational readiness for the Army and its command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, logistics and business software.
Engility filed is protest with the Government Accountability Office on May 27. A decision is due by Sept. 6. The company declined to comment.
ManTech International and Sotera Defense Solutions are listed as incumbents on the work, according to Deltek.
There is no value estimated for the work but it is a three-year contract and requires work inside and outside the United States.
