National Guard seeks automated training management system

The Army National Guard Bureau wants to automate the existing manual input flight training management system and is looking for companies that can provide the needed services.

In a new sources-sought notice, the National Guard is interested in a program that can provide audit readiness and flight management oversight of 54 states and territories’ Army aviation support facilities. The program would need to give accurate, real-time auditable flight time and also budgetary information for the National Guard Aviation and Safety Division

Among the requirements, the solution should be compatible with any web browser and type of mobile device, be a quick and easy way to schedule flights online, receive email and text alerts for schedule changes, and have the capacity to manage data to show what flight changes were made, when and by whom.

The new solution must be a real-time, commercial-off-the-shelf, web-based application and be accessed based on permissions at every echelon.

The National Guard also wants a quick turn around with a prototype available for review 30 days after contract award and final product in product 60 days after award. It does propose a process for extensions but the total extensions cannot exceed 20 work days, which will be doled out in five-day increments.

The National Guard released the notice Feb. 24. Responses are due by March 24.
