The Forest Service released a sources-sought notice to companies that can provide support for developing and managing geospatial and geographic information systems (GIS).

The Forest Service released a sources-sought notice to companies that can provide support for developing and managing geospatial and geographic information systems (GIS).

The Forest Service needs support related to geospatial web application development, GIS, enterprise architecture, geospatial data management, spatial database administration and other related geospatial activities.

The company would assist officials in reviewing approaches for solving geospatially related problems and estimating geospatial work requirements. It would provide advice on buying and installing hardware equipment, software, and maintenance agreements relating to data management. It would also develop and maintain spatial database functionality, specifically geospatial analysts and application developers.

The Forest Service issued its sources-sought notice Feb. 22. Responses are due by March 7.
