DEA seeks to collaborate on large-volume data analysis

The Drug Enforcement Administration released a request for information to get feedback on a five-year, large-volume data analysis collaboration effort.

Under the draft statement of work, DEA wants a company to provide IT support services. Among those services, the DEA is looking for continual benchmark reports to measure the performance of the IT infrastructure under development compared to similar analytics on current operational and proposed designs.

The DEA wants assistance in developing a working prototype of a suite of macro-analytic and investigative assessment tools and for a suite of social media exploitation tools. DEA officials’ intent is to derive insight from large volumes of data.

The DEA anticipates a work to begin in September.

The DEA released its RFI Feb. 22. Responses are due by March 10.
