Air Force considers potential IDIQ for advisory, assistance services

The Air Force needs a full range of advisory and assistance services to support its business transformation efforts and officials are considering a new task order contract to get that support.

The Air Force is looking for year-over-year productivity improvements in business processes while reducing the cost of business operations and enhancing investments in mission support.

The contract would aid the secretary of the Air Force Office of Business Transformation and the deputy chief management officer in three areas, including management and professional services, studies and research, and engineering and technical expertise.

The scope of work spans several categories:

• Process reengineering and improvement support
• Strategy alignment and deployment support
• Project and change management support
• Management tools support
• Optional surge support
• Program management support

Contract work may also extend into projects of shared interest across the Air Force and the Defense Department.

The Air Force wants contractors that have expertise in process modeling, business core functions, process improvement using problem-solving methods, enterprise-level and enterprise-wide strategic alignment and deployment, organizational change management, and project management.

Air Force officials have not decided if it will be a small business set-aside or open to any qualified company. The Air Force is also considering whether to make multiple awards.

The Air Force released its sources-sought notice Nov. 12. Responses are due by Nov. 27.
